These are the response we received and discussed in the last Design Competition Meeting.
1. If you had a magic wand what one thing would you change in Charleston?
Fewer national retailers displacing local retailers, & more shoppers seeking out & buying from local rather than non-local.
I would re-evaluate all kinds of traffic on both King and Market and assess the question of whether the presence automobiles on those thoroughfares may actually be detrimental to civic pride and to commerce.
1. Review Non-profit Research & BRAINSTORM
+ We have only responses from two non-profits at this time, Charleston Moves and Louie’s Kids
+ It was discussed that we should extend the response time one more week and enlarge the group of non-profits to anyone that a member has a connection with.
+ Amy will continue down the list from Civic Action, other members agreed to contact their non-profits early in the week by phone to elicit a more likely response
