On October 18, twelve states and the District of Columbia will be the sites of a coordinated earthquake preparedness drill and AIA National, along with Architecture for Humanity, are encouraging architects to get involved.
By visiting www.shakeout.org anyone can commit to participating in their own small way by conducting an earthquake drill in their office, creating or revising emergency plans, or simply taking a moment to recognize the seismic hazards in your immediate area.
Hello all!
Welcome to 2012, can't believe we are 12 years into the new millenium. I hope everyone enjoyed the Holiday season. I think 2012 is going to be a great year for AFH Charleston, come and find out. We are going to try out a new bar in Charleston that has a bit of hype going on right now. The Royal American located at 970 Morrison Drive, Charleston, SC 29403, and extra special for all you commuters I believe there is ample parking. So see you all at 6pm on Thursday January 19th.

For our February Chapter Meeting we will be discussing our next fundraiser, 20on20 vol. 2 to benefit our new friends, the Gullah/Geechee Angel Network. We need help selecting speakers, finding a venue and building an event crew. We also are in need for some new leaders to step up and help steer the ship. Hope you can make it!
